2nd Annual Beau Berglund Fishing Tournament

Sunday, July 24th, 2011 at 10:02 am

The 2nd Annual Beau Berglund Fishing Tournament was held on Saturday and many people came out even though the weather wasn’t ideal.

Last year the event raised over $1000 for the Make A Wish Foundation. Along with the donation organizers were also able to bring a kid on an ice fishing trip to Nitti’s Hunter’s Point Resort on Lake Mille Lacs. Zachary Bartz was selected as the lucky kid who was able to go fishing with professional guide Tony Roach.  Zachary was in attendance at this year’s event where he was very eager to talk on the radio and tell everyone about the big fish he caught. This year the goal of the tournament is to be able to bring another kid on a fishing or hunting trip for a day.

If you have pictures from the tournament we’d love to see them. You can post them on our Facebook page.

The Beau Berglund fishing tournament is in memory of Beau who loved sports both outdoor and indoor.

A good size crowd showed up and enjoyed the perfectly timed sunshine.
