The severe storms that blew through Minnesota and western Wisconsin killed a child on Friday night.

According to the Burnett County Sheriff’s office, an 11-year-old girl from Hinckley was at a campground in Burnett County when she was killed from a tree that fell on her. The girl’s relative said that lightning hit a tree at the campground and she tried to run, but the tree fell and hit her.

Officials also said that at least 39 people were injured in the storm.

Police in Danbury, Wisconsin are saying that the area will not see power for about three days.

The Red Cross will be in Grantsburg and Danbury on Sunday to distribute food and water.

My thoughts & prayers go out to Klar’s. I can not imagine the loss they have experienced. My hearts go out to them, as a parent, it just breaks my heart to hear of this. I don’t know them personally, but know of them due to the small town that’s a given. I hope they know alot of people are praying for them & their family…
