A St. Paul Man is Dead After a Boating Accident
A boating accident in Polk County resulted in the death of a St. Paul man on Saturday.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office the 22-year-old victim and approximately 4 of his friends boarded a 12 foot aluminum boat on Antler Lake. While they were on the lake the boat capsized. The victim was swimming to shore when he started calling for help. One of his friends was able to find him under the waters surface and bring him back to shore where they began to do CPR.
The sheriff’s office received the 911 call of a possible drowning at 3:30am on Saturday morning.When they arrived they transported the victim to St. Croix Regional Medical Center where the man was pronounced dead.
The victim has not been identified and the accident is still under investigation.
