Timberwolves to Fire Rambis
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Minnesota Timberwolves will part ways with Head Coach Kurt Rambis. President of Basketball Operations David Kahn is expected to show Rambis the door as early as this afternoon.
The move comes with little surprise as the Wolves have been one of the NBA’s worst teams during Rambis’ short 2-year tenure. Minnesota was a combined 32-132 in his two seasons.
Rambis was not in attendance during the press conference Tuesday to introduce Spanish phenom Ricky Rubio as the club’s newest member.
The Wolves will pick 2nd in tonight’s NBA draft. They are expected to do one of three things; trade the pick, select Arizona’s Derrick Williams, or Turkey’s Enes Kanter.
