Minneapolis Mayor Rybak in Washington D.C. Seeking Tornado Aid
Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is in Washington D.C. today looking to get more aid for tornado ravaged north Minneapolis.
Rybak is meeting with federal officials to discuss the rebuilding effort in Minneapolis. FEMA denied the state’s request for individual aid, saying damage from the event is not too much for the state and local agencies to handle.
President Obama will not be in Monday’s meeting. Rybak said that he will meet with the President later in the day and ask for his help attaining federal money.
