East Central Regional Library Presents The Rose Ensemble
East Central Regional Library and McGregor Community Education are proud to present the Rose Ensemble!
Founded in 1996 by Artistic Director Jordan Sramek, The Rose Ensemble is celebrating 15 years of reawakening the ancient with vocal music that stirs the emotions, challenges the mind and lifts the spirit. The St. Paul group tours internationally with repertoire spanning 1,000 years and 25 languages, including new research in Middle Eastern, European and American vocal traditions.
The program they will be presenting is And Glory Shone Around. “The Rose Ensemble presents some of its most popular music in this joyful program featuring ballads, dances, hymns and anthems. Witness a musical evolution across time as our singers and instrumentalists journey through the dancehalls of Boston, to Shaker villages and the hills of Appalachia, exploring the harmonies that gave birth to bluegrass.”
There will be an educational music program at the McGregor Public Library on Monday, June 20th at 4:00pm and there will also be a concert at the McGregor School Auditorium at 7:00pm.
This program is for all ages and is open to the public.
This program is fund in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
