Horse Runs Loose On I-35
A horse got loose, and was running on I-35 in Forest Lake, which made for an interesting morning commute yesterday. The horse was first noticed on I-35 just north of the split just before 5 a.m.
According to State Patrol, officers were having trouble corralling the horse. After several tries, it was captured about an hour later.
Scott Johnson from Running Aces Harness Park was called in to help catch the horse. After his morning ordeal, the horse did not appear to be injured, and stayed at Johnson’s farm in Forest Lake.
KSTP reports that the horse’s owner came forward Wednesday afternoon. Phil Tetrault says the horse is named Coors. He says Coors is a smart stallion and must have opened the gate and let himself out. Tetrault says he’ll look at making the gates and locks more secure.
Coors was found about 6 miles from home.
