Cindy Hickey Speaks With WCMP On Son’s Detainment (Audio)

Monday, June 6th, 2011 at 12:42 pm

It’s been almost two years now since three American hikers were arrested by the Iranian government for allegedly crossing the boarder of that country illegally. Shane Bauer (Hickey’s son) and Josh Fattal remain detained in a prison in Tehran after nearly two years of imprisonment.

Bauer’s finance, Sarah Shourd, has been released due to medical reasons, but the two men still face espionage charges.

Hickey explains to us why the trio was hiking in that region of Kurdistan, and talks in detail about the ordeal.
