Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at 8:38 am

The Minnesota Twins evened their series with the Angels last night, winning 1-0 in ten innings. Fransico Liriano was out because of a sore shoulder, but his replacement Anthony Swarzak threw a gem. Swarzak held the Angels hit less for seven and one third innings. He ended the night with eight innings pitched, one hit, four strike outs and two walks.

The game was tied going into the bottom of the 10th inning, when the Twins won it on a Danny Valencia hit with the bases loaded. The Twins are now 5-15 in their last 20 games.

Carl Pavano will take the mound today as the Twins look for the series win over the Angels. First pitch is at 1:10 and it can be heard on 100.9FM WCMP.
