City-Wide Sale Day/Home Based Biz Expo This Weekend!

Saturday, May 7th, 2011 at 8:30 am

Saturday, May 7 is the day on the calendar that has been slated for the annual City-wide Sale Day.  Traditionally, this has been a day that local residents and visitors from nearby communities flock to Pine City for the great bargains and hidden treasures that can be found at one of the many garage sales that can be found throughout the community.

This year, the Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce is hoping that shoppers will make a few extra stops to find the bargains and hidden treasures at local businesses and the Home-based Business Expo taking place at Signatures Closing & Title in Downtown Pine City.

“This event is a new idea for the Chamber to explore and it’s our first year trying it,” says Becky Schueller, Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce.  “We want to provide a way for home-based businesses to showcase their goods and services in a fun atmosphere and meet others that work a similar type of business.  Networking is the key to helping build almost any business.”

A wide variety of home-based businesses are planning to attend this exciting event, including: Usborne Books and More, Premier Designs Jewelry, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Scentsy Wickless Candles, Miche Purses, Stampin’ Up, and Market America.

The Expo will be open from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 7th.  Signatures Closing and Title is located on the corner of 5th Street and 2nd Avenue across from Robinson Park.  Shoppers are invited to stop down and check out the various businesses that will be represented as well as register for a few door prizes that will be given away at the end of the day. Additional vendor space is still available. For more information on this event, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 320-322-4040.
