Head-On Collision Injures 3 In Forest Lake
A head-on collision in Forest Lake left three people injured on Friday. Forest Lake police Sargent Rick Peterson said that the accident happened at about 7:45am on Minnesota 97. The 17-year-old girl and her 17-year-old passenger were driving in her Dodge Intrepid. Investigators believe that the boy passenger dropped something on the floor. They think that the girl driver was possibly helping him look for it when she swerved into the other lane.
The girl was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center. According to Peterson she had head injuries, internal injuries and a possible leg injury. Those injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
The girl’s passenger and the truck’s driver had minor injuries, neither were hospitalized.
