Stabbing in Hayward, Wisconsin Kills One Person
A stabbing Friday morning in Hayward, Wisconsin left one person dead and three others injured. At 4:30am the Sawyer County Sheriff’s office received multiple calls about a stabbing. The first call informed the officers that there had been a stabbing. The second call was about a young male needing an ambulance seven miles away, and a third caller said her son had been stabbed.
Authorities responded to all three of the calls and they learned that there was a party the night before at the location of the first 911 call. According to police, at the party a fight broke out, and four people were either stabbed or hit with a blunt object. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people who were stabbed were taken to area hospitals.
Police have two suspects in custody. The incident remains under investigation.
