A student group is suing the St. Michael-Albertville school district. The All Life Is Valuable group is against abortion and is claiming that it is being denied the same rights given to other student groups in the district. The group deals with issues like abortion, abstinence and politics.

The lawsuit that was filed in federal court on Thursday alleges that the high school denied the group benefits and access that it provides to other school groups. According to the Superintendent of the St. Michael-Albertville school district,  Marcia Ziegler, they have not been denied access. Ziegler said a student went to the principal in January about forming a club, and a few weeks later the principal told the student the group could meet before and after school, as other groups do. Officials met with the student again Friday and explained the group can meet.
