Grantsburg Students Participate In Career Day
In an effort to better prepare their students for the future, Grantsburg High School held a Career Day on April 5.
Students were able to select different areas of interest and got to hear from “real world” presenters on different possible careers. The event allowed the students to move to different “career clusters” (areas of interest) throughout the afternoon, getting a wide variety of options to think about.
The numerous presenters came out from the local community and represented many different types of careers. Everything from military, medical, and tech careers to acting, journalism, hair styling and much more was covered.
The students attended three different sessions that were around 45 minutes each, and were given opportunities to ask questions when each presenter was finished.
The presenters were given a list of questions themselves to answer as a guide for their talks, and most of the students took note.
All in all, the event seemed like a great success and the students benefited greatly.
