Former Local Resident Killed In Puerto Rico Shooting
A man with ties to the listening area has been shot and killed in Peurto Rico. WCCO is reporting that 33 year old Aaron J. Dahlberg was shot with a pistol at close range on March 19. Dahlberg was born in Grantsburg, Wis., and was a 1996 graduate of Brainerd High School.
Dahlberg was a computer consultant and the obituary published by his family said that his “work and his curiosity about new places took him to many countries around the world.”
Dahlberg was on the balcony of a San Juan home at the time of the shooting, police told the El Nacional newspaper. The suspect fled, according to the police report, and the family is left with very few details about the death of their loved one.
After high school, he worked in technical support for Sound Choice, a telecommunications company in Minneapolis and then for Qwest Communications. Since 2001, he had lived in Arizona, where he started Purple Desert Communications of Phoenix.
Services for Aaron Dahlberg are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Dr., Forest Lake.
