The Pine County Sheriff’s Office has been selected to provide training to soldiers of the 257th Military Police unit of the Minnesota Army National Guard. It will be a joint training exercise that will take place on March 4th and 5th. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility was chosen for this training exercise because of its high level of efficiency and professionalism.
Instructors from the PCSO will familiarize the soldiers in several tasks associated with Detention Operations, which is the primary mission of the 257th MP CO. Some of the tasks include use of force measures, emergency evacuation procedures, and disturbance responses.
