Two snowmobilers are apparently OK after a few scary moments.  They went into freezing water after their sleds punched through the ice oin Krays Lake south of Cold Spring.

The Associated Press reports that one of the snowmobilers reported the accident to the Stearns County sheriff’s office Monday night.

Sheriff John Spanner told reporters that the snowmobilers were going through a channel area when their snowmobiles fell through the ice.

The St. Cloud Times reports the machines sank to the bottom of the lake. The riders were able to get themselves out of the water and to shore. The paper also reports they were checked by paramedics but refused to be taken to a hospital.
