Family Loses Home In Fire East Of Beroun, Fund Set Up To Help

Thursday, February 17th, 2011 at 7:10 am

On Wednesday, Feb. 9 the family of Phil and Krista Currie lost their home east of Beroun in a house fire. Pictured here, you can see firefighters from Hinckley and Pine City gathered around the burning home. The Pine City Pioneer reports that firefighters fought the blaze all day in single-digit temperatures, and sirens could be heard for hours in Pine City as fire trucks shuttled back and forth bringing water from the fire station to the scene. Despite their best efforts, the home and belongings inside were a complete loss. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the fire.

Rural American Bank has set up a fund for the Curries and their two young children. To donate, stop by Rural American Bank at 560 Third Avenue Southeast in Pine City, or call (320) 629-2561 for more information.
