Pine City Library Opens, Has First Story Time With Reading To Children (Pictures and Audio)

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 at 1:25 pm

The Pine City Library Expansion project is complete, and just in time for “I Love To Read Month” – which happens every February.

The library was closed for several months during the remodel, but reopened it’s doors on Tuesday, Feb. 2. Librarian Christy Koch describes the new space as “beautiful, airy, spacious, light, colorful… it’s wonderful!”

Koch promises that you will be amazed at the inside of the library. A dedication is happening on May 7th, but in the meantime, the facility is open again to the public.

Children are already enjoying the library, as on Wednesday, the first story time took place at 10 a.m.

Koch stopped by the radio station on Tuesday and spoke with our Mike Hughes about the project.
