Power Restored in Bruno And Kerrick

Friday, January 21st, 2011 at 1:54 pm

Earlier today we reported that the power was out in Bruno and Kerrick, and that the Pine County Sheriff’s office was working in conjunction with firefighters to insure the public’s safety though this bitter cold spell.

We are happy to report that the power was restored, and although 35-40 residents did go to the temporary shelters as outlined before, everyone is now back at home with heat and electricity.

Apparently a frozen power line snapped about 3 miles north of Bruno along MN Hwy 23 (according to the Sheriff’s Press Release), and the situation has been fixed.
