Pine County Sheriff: Power Out in Bruno And Kerrick, Emergency Plan Unfolding
The Pine County Sheriff’s department has asked WCMP to notify the public of the following development:
At this time, there is a power outage affecting the BRUNO AND KERRICK communities as well as other parts of the listening area. It is unknown how long the power will be out, but due to the frigid temperatures, the following locations are being opened to provide temporary shelter to area residents affected by the outage:
1. ASKOV COMMUNITY CENTER
2. HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, Moose Lake
Crews are currently working to restore power, but it is unknown how long such efforts will take to complete.
Residents that have transportation are advised to head to these locations in their own vehicles. However, firefighters will be going door-to-door checking residences to help people without transportation. Buses have been staged at the Bruno Fire Hall as well to provide these services.
