Groundbreaking Scheduled For New Manufacturing Facility In Amery
Amery Mayor Mike Karuschak and Dean Lubow, Principal of Unisource Assembly Corp., top the list of dignitaries who will break ground at noon on Monday, December 20, 2010 to commence construction of Unisource’s new $1.2 million manufacturing facility.
The ceremony will take place at the site of the new facility – 711 Minneapolis Avenue in Amery – on 2.1 acres on the southeast side of the city. City Administrator Darcy D. Long, and the members of the Amery City Council along with John B. Donnelly, Robert J. Meyers and Michael Zirbes of ownership group, FMH Amery LLC are scheduled to attend.
Unisource Assembly, which has been an important part of the Amery community since 1987, assembles electrical components and electronic circuit boards. Construction of the 15,000 square-foot facility, which is expected to be completed by next spring, will generate local jobs and breathe life into the area’s economy.
In addition to brief comments from local dignitaries, the donation ceremony event will include a check ceremony, that symbolizes Unisource’s agreement with the city to contribute $8,000 toward the construction of the Amery Trailhead Pavilion, an all-weather, multiuse facility that will be located at the head of the Stower Seven Lakes State Trail. Unisource’s contribution is one of the largest single contributions to date for this civic project.
