One Person Killed In Collision With School Bus In Polk County
Sheriff’s officials say one person has died in a collision between a school bus and a vehicle in Polk County.
The accident happened around 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the driver of the vehicle was killed and the school bus driver suffered minor injuries. Polk County Sheriff Tim Moore told the Associated Press that there were no students on the school bus, but the name of the deceased person isn’t being released at this time.

“The School District would like to provide you information regarding a bus accident on the route of… Kevin Louis that occurred early this morning on highway 87 . There were NO students on the bus at the time of the accident.
According to the deputy from the Polk County Sheriff’s department, an oncoming car lost control and drove into the lane of the school bus resulting in collision. The substitute bus driver was Mike High who sustained minor injuries. There was a fatality with the driver of the car.”
