Monday, November 8th, 2010 at 7:44 am

The Mora and Ogilvie Girl Scouts honored the founder of the organization, Juliette Gordon Low, by providing gifts to the first baby girl born on or after October 31st at Kanabec Hospital. Low was born on October 31, 1860, so the Girl Scouts award the gifts to the first female baby born on or after this date annually in her honor.

This year’s recipient of the gifts is Caylynn Norberg, daughter of Wyatt and Andrea Norberg of Mora. Caylynn was born on November 2nd and weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz.

The gifts included clothes, toys, blankets and more. Each item was donated by a Girl Scout member.

Andrea Norberg holds her daughter Caylynn amidst the many gifts from the Mora and Ogilvie Girl Scouts.
