High Winds And Rain Cause Power Outages, Hinckley-Finlayson School Closed

High winds and driving rain moved through the listening area last night, and the strong storms have done damage to power lines. East Central Energy reports 905 residents in the Braham area are without power this morning (Wed, Oct. 27), but crews are working to restore power. If you are an East Central customer and are without power you are urged to call 1-800-254-7944.

More power problems are being dealt with by residents up in Hinckley, as the Hinckley-Finlayson school is currently dark. Apparently power went out in the area around 8 p.m. last night and has not yet been restored. School administrators have announced that the school day has been canceled.
