Police In Cambridge Still Investigating 3 Fires

The Cambridge Police and Fire departments are asking for the public’s help in solving three separate arson incidents from Oct. 16. That day, police and fire responded to three different fire-related incidents within a 40-minute span.

The first incident occurred at 12:44 a.m. and involved a dumpster fire at 1700 Rum River Drive South. While units were responding that that fire, a warming house attached to the ice rink located along the 600 block of 18th Avenue southwest was also found in flames, according to the Cambridge Police Department.

A short time later, it was reported that a porta-potty in the Cambridge City Park had also been set on fire.

The matter is currently under investigation with no known suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cambridge Police Department at 763-689-2141.
