The Pine City Dragons continued to play stellar football on Friday (Oct. 8) in their impressive 38-7 Homecoming win over the Aitkin Gobblers. The Dragons took the lead very early in the contest on a 33-yard TD run by Senior Mike Hansmann, and never looked back. Hansmann scored twice in the contest

Senior RB Adam Olson also had another huge outing with 11 carries for 168 yards and 3 TD’s. Olson is now ranked 5th in the state in rushing yardage on the season, and averages an eye-popping 13.3 yards per carry.

Pine City’s defense did finally allow a touchdown, as the Gobblers scored late in the fourth quarter on a TD run by Senior Quarterback Chris Hughes. Pine City hadn’t allowed a single score of any kind through their first five games.

Our Joe Wolf caught up with Olson after the win to talk about his performance, and the team as a whole.
