Fall is a great time to get out and view nature’s beauty in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. One of the best places to view the fall foliage is on the Great River Road. Wisconsin’s Great River Road stretches over 250 miles from Prescott to Kieler, Wisconsin.

The Great River Road gives travelers an impressive place to view the variety of geography and topography of the Mississippi River. Along the road, stop in to Prescott’s Freedom Park for an especially impressive view of the fall colors.

Not only does the Great River Road give you an excellent chance to view the beautiful fall colors, it is also home to a wide variety of wildlife. It is home to over 300 species of birds throughout the year. Nationwide the Great River Road is host to over 40 percent of North America’s migrating swans, ducks, geese, and other waterfowl during their migration.

If you love fall and everything it has to offer including the beautiful fall foliage and abundance of wildlife, take a trip on the Great River Road.
