Loading ...Woman Found Dead In Shell Lake
A 53- year old woman was found dead on Wednesday (Sept. 22) morning by a fisherman who was landing his boat at the Shell Lake Boat Landing.
At approximately 10:50 a.m., a man reported he had found a woman floating in the water. Deputies responded to the scene where they found Kim Leverty of New Richmond, WI, lying face up in the water by the dock.
Authorities say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washburn County Coroner. Neither the Shell Lake Police Department nor the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office believes foul play was involved.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, and the investigation is ongoing.
