Sheriffs Arrest Man After Several Hour Stand-off
Pine County Sheriff’s engaged in a stand-off for several hours in the parking lot of the Grand Casino Hinckley. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 27.
The Sheriff’s department reports that the incident ended peacefully when an armed man surrendered and was taken into custody.
The man was reportedly driving a semi-truck through the RV park in a careless manner, when he carelessly struck another person’s property. It is believed the owner of that property called police.
Sheriff Mark Mansavage states that the semi-truck driver then pulled a “long gun” on the officer responding to the complaint, which caused the stand-off.
The man, still unnamed, is being held in the Pine County Jail for a variety of criminal charges.
