A single-car rollover just before midnight Aug. 26 in Pine County has claimed a man’s life, and injured another person significantly. The driver of the car, Forrest Hart (23) of Isanti County, was pronounced dead at the scene according to police.

The Pine County Sheriff’s department responded to a call of a vehicle in the ditch on County Road 11, one-half mile west of the intersection of 11 and County Road 13. Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle on it’s roof, on the north side of the road.

A female passenger (21), who remains unidentified, was partially pinned under the car, and was rushed to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale after EMS and Pine City Fire department members extricated her from the wreckage.

Apparently Hart was ejectd from the car upon impact when the vehicle struck a driveway approach and vaulted head-on into a tree.

The Pine County Sheriff’s office and Minnesota State Patrol are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
