Man Stabbed in Pokegama Township
A young man who was beaten, stabbed and left at the Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming on Saturday morning says the attack occurred in Pokegama Township in Pine County.
Pine County Chief Deputy Steve Ovick talked to the Pine City Pioneer, and described the young man’s injuries as serious stab wounds. Ovick also stated the victim had cuts and abrasions on his face, though none of the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The victim reported that the incident happened on Hawk Ridge Road in Pokegama Township, west of Pokegama Lake north of County Road 7 and south of County Road 11.
Ovick told the paper that the man does not have clear memories of exactly what took place in the incident, and he is unable to identify the individual or individuals who stabbed him.
The incident was reported to the Pine County Sheriff’s Department at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, and remains under investigation.
No suspects have been placed in custody.
