Pawlenty Speaks Out on Spending

While media outlets scramble to cover the race for the Governor’s seat that will be won this fall, current MN Governor Tim Pawlenty is speaking out against the growth of government.

The following statement was issued by Pawlenty in response to Tuesday’s passage of a $26 billion federal spending bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives:

“The federal government should not deficit spend to bail out states and special interest groups. Minnesota balanced its budget without raising taxes and without relying on more federal money. The federal government’s reckless spending spree must come to an end.”
