Danny Wright, who lived and worked at the  Pine County Guardian Angel Shelter, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday morning, Aug. 7 as he walked back from an appointment at Regions Hospital. Police are still looking for the driver, who they believe yelled at Wright, then intentionally ran him down in the parking lot of the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul.

Wright’s family told WCCO of Minneapolis that they plan to disperse his ashes on his favorite garden plot on the farm north of Pine City. Wright was staying in a room he rented at the Union Gospel Mission while he received treatment for an eye infection.
