Rush City Residents Working Hard To Clean Up Thunderstorm Damage

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 at 10:10 am

Strong winds and heavy rainfall pushed through East Central Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin Tuesday night,  leaving several Rush City residents with uprooted trees and broken branches. Last night,  a severe thunderstorm warning was issued until 7pm, while a tornado watch was issued until 11pm.  Although no twisters were spotted, winds in some areas reached 71 miles per hour.  The hardest hit area left damaged buildings, knocked-down powerlines and trees near Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.
