Storms Cause Power Outages in Pine County

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 11:20 am

A storm that came through the area around 10am this morning has left about 600 East Central Energy customers with out power. Stong winds, heavy rains and lighting are to blame for the outages.

ECE reports that the outages are spread through out the Pine County area and not in one specific area.  Origanally about 600 customers were left with no power, as of 12:15pm, ECE says that there are now about 220 customers without power. The estimated time they told us was about 2 hours and everything should be back to normal.

If you have any power problems or safety concerns call ECE at 1-800-254- 7944.

ECE also want to remind you that you should never approach any down power lines or anything of that sort, remember safety first!
