alan hancock 2010 pictureAlan Hancock of rural Pine City has filed for Pine County Commissioner District 2.

Alan is very concerned about the 3.7 million dollar deficit in the County’s general revenue fund, the huge hidden raise that the Commissioners gave themselves 3 years ago.

Alan wants to stop the pending billion dollar tax increase for Northern Lights Express NLX, of which the local match will be 200 million dollars. Alan estimates it will be a six fold tax increase all in one year that will kill many businesses.

Alan has proudly served 9 years in the military, has 17 years experience in Civil Engineering. Alan attended Pine City Public schools K-12. Alan is married to Stacy (Steele) and has 2 children Jenica 9 and Anika 7. Alan Hancock can be reached at 320-629-2023 or ahancock@localnet.com.

What about everyone else who filed? Where’s their story?

    - What about the benefit to the communities in our area for having this in our backyard? It far outweighs the cost considering future development potential.
