Furlough Day This Friday in Wisconsin
Offices are also closed on Monday for the Memorial holiday
The government-wide furlough day is the fourth of eight that cut across all agencies at the same time. The days are spread over two years.
Eight additional furlough days were ordered by Gov. Jim Doyle to help with the state’s budget woes/ Those days off vary based on the agency.
Department of motor vehicle offices, the vital records office and Department of Natural Resources service centers are among the offices closing Friday.
State parks and historical sites are among a smattering of state offices that will remain open.
