The Pine Center For Arts displayed a new gallery this past weekend. Rock Creek’s Sharon Westman showed off her work at an event Friday.
Westman specializes in Photography, many of her photos are form the surrounding area, she also has a lot of pieces from Italy, mainly Rome.
Westman says she gets most of her inspiration from simply paying attention to her surroundings.

Since August 2008 life has been difficult for Westman, she was dealt a blow after doctors told her she had a form of Leukemia.

After having several treatments for the Leukemia it is now in remission. Westman says the outlook is very good.
