William Christen and Steve Fore, both 19, were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, says Pine County Sheriff Mark Mansavage.  The Pine County Sheriffs Department and Minnesota State Patrol are conducting the investigation into the Saturday morning crash that killed Christen and has left Fore in critical condition.

Mansavage talked about the crash Thursday on the WCMP Sheriff’s report.

Buckle up. Absolutely- I used to be terrible about wearing my own seat belt. Everybody just needs to remember this horrible tragedy, and just buckle up.
