Pair of Medical Emergencies in Kanabec County, One Man Dead
The Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office responded to a pair of medical emergencies on Friday, April 2nd.
The first, which occurred around 1130 a.m, was to a call of a 69-year-old male who was not breathing on Union Street in downtown Mora. The man was in an electric wheel chair traveling in a cross walk. Upon deputies arrival, CPR was started. Kanabec Ambulence arrived on scene and the victim was transported to the Kanabec Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A second separate medical emergency came just over an hour later, around 12:40 p.m. Dispatch received a call that a 20-year-old male who was riding on the back of a four wheeler in Brunswick township when he fell and struck his head. The victim was taken to the Kanabec Hospital for medical treatment.
The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the incident.
