Man Arrested for Stabbing in Sandstone
A St. Paul man was arrested Monday in Sandstone after a verbal argument turned violent. John Garbow, 55, faces a pair of charges for allegedly stabbing a woman in the wrist.
According to the criminal complaint, Garbow got into a argument with the woman at a Sandstone residence. The woman told police Garbow was calling her husband a murderer and she got upset and hit him. It’s alleged that Garbow then slit her wrist.
The Duxbury Rescue Squad arrived at the residence and treated the laceration on the victim’s wrist.
A knife was found at the scene on the floor near the kitchen. Police observed blood stains on the knife.
Garbow is charged with second degree assault and fifth degree domestic assault. If convicted, he could serve over seven years in prison.
