Trial for Hotchkiss Delayed
The jury trial for Ludusky Sue Hotchkiss, 29, has been pushed back. The trial was scheduled to begin on Monday, but both the defense and prosecution are reviewing additional details in the case. The trial is now scheduled for May. Hotchkiss is charged with one count of second-degree murder and three counts of second-degree manslaughter for the death of her 10-year-old daughter of Lakesha Victor. She pleaded not guilty to the charges in October. If convicted of second degree murder, Hotchkiss faces up to 40 years in prison. The manslaughter charges each carry a penalty of 10 years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine.
