The Rush City woman accused of neglecting animals in Isanti County was found not guilty of the charges.  Tracy Jean Bratlie, 37, was acquitted of eight charges this week in Isanti County court.

Authorities seized eight horses and a donkey on Bratlie’s property near Stanchfield.   During an examination, it was noted by veterinarians that the animals’ ribs were protruding through their skin.

Authorities also confiscated 15 malnourished horses in September of 2007 at Bratlie’s Mora property.

She was convicted of five misdemeanors for animal neglect and cruelty in Kanabec County.   Part of the sentence included not allowing Bratlie to own horses for a year.
