The Pine City Library is three-fourths of the way to meeting their goal of raising $400,000 for its expansion project. The effort received an extra boost Wednesday when the Pine City Lions donated $10,000 for the project.
Lions president Jim Zaun was on hand to present the check and said the Library expansion project “is one that will serve the population, young, and old for generations to come.”
Through donations from civic organizations and individual contributions, the library has raised $300,000 since the fundraising efforts began on November 19th.
On March 11th, there will be a wine and beer tasting fundraiser at the Pizza Pub in Pine City. The fundraiser will include a silent auction and 25-percent of all sales dine in or take out go to the library.
