County Attorney Janet Reiter announced that two criminal cases were tried to juries this month before the Honorable Todd R. Schoffelman.

Jeremy John Dahlquist, age 34, of Taylors Falls, was convicted of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, a felony, and Obstructing Legal Process with Force, a Gross Misdemeanor.

Dahlquist was convicted by a jury of approaching the victim at Romayne’s Bar in Taylors Falls on July 18, 2009, thrusting his hands down the back of her pants and touching her private parts, with force. When Chisago County deputies were called to the scene, Dahlquist fought with them and resisted arrest there and at the Chisago County jail.

Sentencing is set for March 10, 2010, at 8:30 a.m.  Dahlquist remains in custody.  Assistant County Attorney Beth Beaman prosecuted the case.

In the other jury trial, Blaize Collin Wold, age 26, of Stacy, was acquitted by a jury of 5th degree assault, a Gross Misdemeanor, stemming from an incident at the Stacy Trailer Court on July 31, 2007.
