“Avatar” is now king of the movie world. It’s has passed “Titanic” to become the highest-grossing movie ever in North American theaters. For the last 12 years, “Titanic” had held the domestic box-office record at $600.8 million. But, on Tuesday, the same day it was nominated for 9 Oscars, `Avatar” reached $601.1 million domestically. Avatar already holds the international money making record.
COWELL CHARITY SINGLE
imon Cowell’s single to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims will be available for download on Sunday. Susan Boyle, Rod Stewart, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, Michael Buble’, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, James Blunt and Miley Cyrus appear on the single, which is a remake of the R.E.M. song “Everybody Hurts.”

Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” has hit number one on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. They’ve sold 480,000 albums. This comes just days after the Grammys where they won Best Country Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals for “I Run to You.” And, after their performance of “Need You Now,” the song went to the top of iTunes’ digital single chart.
A STARR’S STAR
Ringo Starr will receive a star Monday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Starr will get the 2,401st star on the Walk of Fame.
