Ken Ilgunas is avoiding the hight cost of college by living rent-dorm free. He’s living in his econline van in a parking lot at Duke university. Ilgunas says he uses the bathroom and shower at a student gym.

ROCKING OUT TO ROCKY MTN HIGH
Police responding to a complaint of loud noise have cited a Fond du Lac man for “rocking out” to the music of John Denver. The 42-year-old was cited for unnecessary loud noise. The ticket could result in a fine of about $210.

GET OUT ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
A driver whose SUV plunged into a Northern California creek after he was startled by his hands-free cell phone device escaped the sinking vehicle by blasting out the window with a handgun. He used his gun to shoot himself out, then flagged down a passerby.

80 TONS OF CHOCOLATE
Chinese candy makers have built a 33-foot long exact replica of the Great Wall of China made entirely from chocolate. Chocolatier Wang Qilu used 80 tons of chocolate were used in making the display which includes a mini-army of 560 chocolate replicas of the famous Terracotta Warriors.
