Making Sense of the Census
A 10-question census form is set to send out in mid-March and are due by April 1st. Local officials are asking snowbirds to list their residence as their area home, because as Pine City Planner Nathan Johnson says, this could mean additional funding for local communities.

Minnesota would miss keeping its eight Congressional seats, based on an analysis of new state population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau.
According to a Congressional reapportionment forecast, Missouri would receive the last seat apportioned, with Minnesota just missing by about 1,100 people.
Wednesday, the Pine City Council approved a resolution in support of the 2010 census. By signing the resolution, the city agreed to support “the goals and ideals of the census and disseminate 2010 Census information to encourage participation.”
