HOOD ORNAMENT
Corrine Hines-Smith was upset with her boyfriend when she got in her car and sped off. Jerome Simmons had jumped on the hood trying to stop her. She reached speeds of 60 MPH before police pulled her over with Jerome on the hood. Hines-Smith was arrested for aggravated assault. Simmons was unharmed.

SORRY BRO
A Bay County Fl. thief had some remorse for his crime. The thief took $550 worth of tools from the back of a pickup truck left a note apologizing for the crime. “Sorry, bro times are hard. But I cant take food out UR familys mouth Im so sorry.” The theft was $550 worth of tools from the back of a pickup truck including a chain saw and tool set.

GRAND THEFT AUTO RECORD
A Tennessee man said he broke a Guinness World Record for playing “Grand Theft Auto IV” to raise money for the nonprofit swimming team he coaches. David Scherer, 19, of Clarksville, an assistant coach for parent-run team The Swimming Eagles, finished playing the popular video game Tuesday after 55 hours, shattering the 40-hour, 20-minute record set by Chirantan Patnaik of India.

SWIMMING STEER
Walter is a 6 year old steer described as an escape artist. Well he wandered out of his pasture and straight into the deep end of Becky Freson’s swimming pool. Fortunately they were able to rope him and empty the pool while coaxing Walter to the shallow end of the pool. Freson said the steer, which she described as an “escape artist,” appeared to be uninjured and was warmed by fresh blankets after he calmed down a bit.

DANGEROUS POLE DANCING
Sue Ann Wee is suing a Manhattan gym over a pole-dancing injury. Wee charges she slid down a pole and fell on the floor during a class at a Crunch fitness center. She says there wasn’t proper oversight.

USELESS TRIVIA

Congress voted to raise the minimum wage on October 26, 1949 from 40 cents an hour to 75 cents an hour.
